Konekesko Ltd to Start as Ponsse's Partner in the Baltic States

Konekesko Ltd and Ponsse Oyj have agreed to co-operate in the Baltic States.
Konekesko Ltd, a subsidiary of Kesko Agro Ltd, has a sales and service network
covering all of the Baltic States that provides excellent opportunities for
using the existing infrastructure in the marketing and servicing of PONSSE
forest machines.

"With our new partner, the outlook for the near future in the Baltic forest
machine market looks promising. Over the next few years, the mechanized
cut-to-length method will become even more commonly used in mechanised timber
harvesting in the area. Konekesko Ltd's strength is in its solid experience in
importing and marketing heavy machinery as well as providing services relating
to their use. The arrangement will ensure Ponsse's progress in the market. With
the help of our new partner, we will be able to ensure the high quality of our
local services," says Arto Tiitinen, President and CEO of Ponsse Oyj.

Konekesko Ltd is a Kesko Group subsidiary specialising in the import and
marketing of heavy and recreational machinery brands and producing related
auxiliary services. In 2004, Konekesko’s turnover was EUR 173.2 million, and the
company employed 290 people.
