Minister of Trade and Industry Mauri Pekkarinen inaugurated HT Lasertekniikka   
Oy's new production facilities in Vieremä                                       

On 15 October 2007, Ponsse Oyj's partner company HT Lasertekniikka Oy, which    
produces plate-like steel components, opened new production facilities in       
Vieremä. The total area of the new facilities is 2,500 square metres, and the   
latest technology is being used. The production facilities were built by        
Vieremän Toimitilat Oy. In November 2006, Ponsse signed with HT Lasertekniikka a
partnership agreement with the objective of achieving long-term cooperation and 
improving competitiveness.                                                      

HT Lasertekniikka's new factory is located in the immediate vicinity of Ponsse's
Vieremä factory. Vieremä is witnessing the growth of a strong concentration of  
forest technology expertise, built by Ponsse, the municipality of Vieremä and   
partner companies.  The purpose of this concentration of expertise is to achieve
synergy and networking benefits.
