OOO PONSSES NEW PRESIDENT Ville Siekkinen (49) has been appointed President of OOO Ponsse, Ponsses Russian subsidiary, as of 1 May 2005. Siekkinen previously worked as Rautaruukkis CIS Area Director in Moscow for five years and before that, in the 1990s, as the companys CFO. His other positions include three years as Tampellas CFO and Administrative Director in Italy. In his new position as OOO Ponsses President, Siekkinen will be responsible for the companys operations and developing its maintenance and sales network in the growing Russian market. He finds that modern harvesting technology has excellent growth potential in Russia since old harvesting equipment must be renovated and harvested volumes are increasing rapidly. Efficiency and quality-based thinking are also making a breakthrough in the country.
