PONSSE 35TH ANNIVERSARY
The year 2005 marks Ponsses 35th anniversary. The companys products have
advanced in giant steps and Ponsse can be proud of the many milestones in its
history. This year, as we celebrate our 35th anniversary, its time to look back
on the early years of our history the work and products that have laid the
foundation for our present success.
Ponsses 35 years of working with engineering and forest companies, forest
owners and other stakeholders has given rise to unrivalled expertise which few
forest machine manufacturers can provide. We not only deliver to our customers
the most productive, dependable forest machines on the market, but also help
them through offering them comprehensive maintenance services and partnership.
Ponsses success is based on listening to customers and working intensively
with customers, forest companies and other experts in the forest industry. In
many cases, we have travelled together the entire road of Ponsses history,
with customer confidence in Ponsse being passed on from father to son. As
during the past 35 years, we are committed to developing forest machinery and
services to ensure the future prosperity of our customers.
BACK TO OUR ROOTS YELLOW IS THE COLOUR THIS ANNIVERSARY YEAR
Ponsse was created through engineer Einari Vidgréns desire to build forest
machines that were more durable and productive on logging sites. Commitment to
this basic ideology continues to form the cornerstone of Ponsses products. In
2005, the most sophisticated model series in Ponsses history is now also
available in yellow, the companys jubilee livery, as well as silver grey. The
colour refers to the legendary Ponsse PAZ forwarder, which was Ponsses first
mass-produced machine. Yellow is an optional choice for customers alongside the
traditional metallic grey.
STATE-OF-THE-ART FINNISH EXPERTISE
All Ponsse products are designed and made in Finland. In recognition of this
they all received the right to use the Key flag in January 2005. The
anniversary year will be visible through the overhaul of the entire companys
graphic image to be carrying out with our new advertising agency partner
Imageneering Worldwide Partners. Our principal colour is now yellow, supported
by black and grey.
PONSSE ELK A NEW FORWARDER MODEL
Ponsse is to launch a new class of forwarder. The new Elk model series will be
placed between the 14-tonne Buffalo and 12-tonne Wisent and will be available
in both 6- and 8-wheel versions. The Ponsse Elk has been engineered for use in
diverse, particularly difficult terrains where extreme strength and maximum
power are key criteria. Steep mountainsides, heavy tree species and deceptive
boulder soil call for driving and loading properties not normally found in
medium-size machines. Now they are: Ponsse Elk is a new middleweight forwarder
with heavyweight features.

PONSSE NOW OFFERS ITS CUSTOMERS A THIRD HARVESTER CRANE MODEL
In response to customer requests, Ponsse is now pleased to offer a parallel
crane L220 as an alternative to harvesters. The crane rotating gear is familiar
from HN125 and HN200 cranes. Design of the crane and its base has paid
attention to the ability of the crane to work in extremely difficult
conditions. The centre of gravity is extremely low to ensure stable wood
harvesting.
Basic specifications:

35TH JUBILEE EQUIPMENT
ERGONOMICS AND OPERATOR SAFETY
One of our themes this anniversary year is ergonomics and operator safety. The
machines in the 35 jubilee model series feature enhanced ergonomics and
standard equipment to enhance safety.
JUBILEE OPTIONAL EXTRA PACKAGE
With our 35-year jubilee model series, we are pleased to announce an ergonomics
and safety equipment package that will further consolidate Ponsses position as
a supplier of some of the most comfortable forest machines on the market for
operators.
Our 35th anniversary equipment package contains:
· Fully automatic air conditioning
· An approach light for the machine Operates from a button on the key
ring.
· Anti-theft alarm with SMS to mobile phone.
· Webasto control by mobile phone
· MP3 radio / player
· Separate set of speakers including treble speakers and quality basic
speakers.
· Detachable, portable fridge that can be conveniently stocked up at
home. The fridge can be kept cool while driving to work by connecting it by an
adapter to the car lighter.
· Extremely dark elegant cabin upholstery, enhancing metallic panels.
· You can recognise the jubilee machines by the jubilee sticker and
logo in the cabin.
