Ponsse to strengthen its operations in Central and Southern Europe:
Janne Vidgrén appointed as Regional Director in Germany

Janne Vidgrén (38) has been appointed as Ponsse’s Regional Director in the
Central and Southern European organisation. In his new position, Vidgrén will be
responsible for supporting dealers and opening new markets. Vidgrén’s area of
operation includes Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary,
Slovenia, Romania and Slovakia. Jarmo Udd has been appointed to Customer Support
tasks in the region; he will report to Janne Vidgrén.

”We see a number of possibilities in Germany and neighbouring areas, and we wish
to bring the feedback of the distribution and service network directly to the
factory. We want to react quickly to market changes and local customer needs.
Demand for wood has continued to grow in Europe, and equipment based on the cut-
to-length method is increasingly being used in harvesting. Our partner in
Germany is the biggest dealer in Europe, Wahlers Forsttechnik GmbH, which is
currently investing €2.5 million in a new service centre in North Germany.
Wahlers Forsttechnik GmbH is our valuable long-term partner. Our services are
strong in the region,” says Arto Tiitinen, President and CEO of Ponsse Oyj.

Janne Vidgrén will transfer to his new duties from his current position of
Ponsse Oyj’s regional export manager. Vidgrén has been at Ponsse since 1988 and
has worked in different export and after-sales service tasks in Finland, the
United Kingdom and the United States. Vidgrén will transfer to his new post at
the beginning of 2007 and he will report to the Vice President of Ponsse Oyj’s
Central and Southern European operations, Tapio Ingervo. The Central and
Southern Europe region is one of Ponsse’s six strategic business areas.
