Timo Karppinen appointed as Ponsse Plc's Executive Director, Corporate          
Development and Strategy                                                        

Timo Karppinen (46), (M.Soc.Sc.), has been appointed as Ponsse Plc's Executive  
Director, Corporate Development and Strategy as of 1 January 2011.              

The area of responsibility of the Executive Director, Corporate Development and 
Strategy is the development of the supervision and reporting of the Ponsse      
Group, the development of management processes and the development of the       
company's cost structure and purchasing operations together with the operational
management. Timo Karppinen will act in the company's strategy working group and 
participate in the activities of Ponsse's Board of Directors as an expert       
member. Timo Karppinen will report the Chairman of Ponsse Plc's Board of        
Directors. Karppinen will be located in Vieremä.                                

Timo Karppinen transfers to the position of Ponsse Plc's Executive Director,    
Corporate Development and Strategy from the service of Nokia Corporation, where 
he has worked in various financial management positions both in Finland and     
abroad for more than 20 years. His most recent areas of responsibility were the 
Head of Finance, Nokia North America in 2008-2010, Head of Finance, Nokia Asia  
2005-2008 and Head of Finance, Nokia China 2000-2005.                           

From the perspective of the growth and further development of Ponsse Plc Timo   
Karppinen's solid experience will play an important role in the management and  
development of the company's extensive international operations.
