PostNord today announces that Peter Kjær Jensen – Head of PostNord Denmark, Head of PostNord International, and Deputy CEO PostNord – has decided to leave the company. Peter will continue to support the company until March 31, 2024. Nikolaj Grundtvig Ahrenkiel, current CFO of PostNord Denmark, will step in as acting Head of PostNord Denmark and will join the Group Leadership Team as of October 1, 2023. Annemarie Gardshol, Group CEO and President of PostNord, will add on the responsibility for PostNord International. The process has started to search for a permanent replacement for Peter.

“I would like to thank Peter for his leadership, vision and strong focus on value creation over the past years. He has served during an important and challenging time in PostNord’s history and made a positive and lasting impact through a relentless focus on transforming the business, the brand, and establishing a strong performance culture. He has also been a valued sounding board for me in his role as Deputy CEO. I regret that Peter has chosen to leave the company, but have full respect for his decision and wish him the best of luck on his future endeavor,” says Annemarie Gardshol, Group CEO and President of PostNord.

Peter Kjær Jensen joined PostNord’s group leadership team in 2014 and assumed the role as Head of Denmark in 2016, Deputy CEO in 2019 and added the role as Head of PostNord International in 2023. He has led the company through a period of major transformation, implementing a renewed strategy focused on winning in parcel and ensure a financially sustainable mail business.

“I'm extremely proud of what we have accomplished together these past years, despite the many headwinds we have faced. PostNord makes a difference every day for our customers and communities and the company is well positioned to be even more relevant for all of our customers going forward. It has been a privilege to work alongside so many talented colleagues and leaders across the Nordics,” says Peter Kjær Jensen.
