Management changes at PostNord
Robin Olsen is leaving his roles as CEO of PostNord Norway and member of the Group Leadership Team. He will remain at the company until the end of the year to ensure a smooth handover to Leif Hultman, who will become acting CEO on December 1, 2024 and hold that role until a permanent CEO takes over.
“The Norwegian part of the business has undergone major changes in recent years to create the conditions for profitable growth, and we now need to further increase the pace of change to ensure lasting results. Furthermore, market conditions in the Norwegian parcel and logistics market have changed rapidly and we have to strengthen our commercial capabilities and attractiveness. To meet these challenges, it is now time for new leadership in Norway,” says PostNord President and Group CEO, Annemarie Gardshol.
Robin Olsen has worked at the company in Norway since 1997 and held several senior positions over the years. Since 2014, he has been CEO of PostNord Norway and a member of the Group Leadership Team. Robin has been a powerful and decisive force in transforming PostNord’s Norwegian business operations and brand to a future in parcels and logistics.
“I have had the privilege of working with Robin for many years and would like to thank him for his loyalty to PostNord, his excellent work as a leader and his valuable contributions as a colleague in the Group Leadership Team. PostNord’s Nordic goal of becoming our customers' favorite carrier remains the same,” says Annemarie Gardshol.
“After more than 20 years as a manager at PostNord, it is now time for me to do something different. I am proud of and grateful for what we have achieved in developing PostNord Norway to create what it is today, and I am confident that this journey will continue under the new leadership in Norway,” says Robin Olsen.
Robin Olsen will remain in his role until December 1, 2024, when Leif Hultman takes over as acting CEO. Robin will then stay at the company during December to ensure there is a good handover.
Leif Hultman has a lot of experience of leading international organizations on journeys of change. He has, among other things, been CEO of IKEA Industry and a member of Inter IKEA’s management team, as well as part of the management group at Volvo Trucks. He is also a board member for several global companies. Leif recently had an interim assignment at Dometic Group, where he was a member of the Group Management Team and had responsibility for Global Operations. Leif is currently a consultant and senior advisor for various clients.
The process of recruiting a permanent CEO for PostNord Norway has started.
