Prevas Bioinformatics wins strategic contract from Combio Prevas Bioinformatics' Danish subsidiary has won a contract to analyse the information management structures of Combio's research organisation. The feasibility study will provide a review of Combio's research information flows, a review of the existing IT-infrastructure (hardware and network) and its ability to support bioinformatics functions at Combio. Finally, routines and databases necessary for smooth data submission and retrieval will be reviewed. The study will be conducted by senior level bioinformatics experts, and should result in a proposal for an appropriate IT-infrastructure to support Combio's research organisation. Combio A/S is a drug discovery company with a technology platform for the rapid synthesis, screening, and identification of drug candidates for specific therapeutic targets. Combio generates chemical libraries on gel beads, which can be screened directly for biological effects. Active structures are sorted automatically and directly identified on the beads by means of non-destructive spectrometry.
