Tickets now available for BBQ, Bands and Brew fundraiser on April 7

The Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) is hosting the fourth annual BBQ, Bands and Brew to benefit its nonprofit charitable arm Builders Care on Sunday, April 7 from 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. at the Lee County Alliance for the Arts. The fundraiser is open to the public and will feature local music, several local barbecue restaurants, BBQ competition to name the Best BBQ in town and kids activities. Admission is $10 per person. Children ages 12 and under are free, and free parking is available.

Local bands include Alter Ego, Cracker Blues and Deb & the Dynamics.  Barbecue themed foods between $2 and $5 will be provided by Blue Crawfish Catering, Bubba’s, Famous Dave’s, Jonesez BBQ and desserts by Ben & Jerry’s.  Kid’s Barnyard will feature a petting zoo, inflatable slide, arts and crafts and more.

New to the event this year is a Poker Run that begins at Fort Myers Harley-Davidson and includes three stops throughout Lee County before ending at BBQ, Bands & Brew at the Alliance for the Arts.  Registration is $25 and includes admission to the event.

The event is sponsored by Ferguson Bath, Kitchen and Lighting Gallery, Moen, Cape Coral Plumbing, Truly Nolen Pest Control, Sunset Air, Action Automatic Door & Gate, All-Star Equipment Rentals & Sales, Batteries Plus, Stevens Construction, Suncoast Beverage, Wallace International Trucks, Bolaños Truxton, LCEC, Nilles Design and Wayne Wiles Floor Coverings.  Media and promotions partners include WINK News, Florida Weekly, Priority Marketing, Cat Country 107.1, 95.3 The River and Happenings Magazine.  Other supporting companies include Kinetico Water Supply and T&M Portable Restrooms.

Builders Care is the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA). Its objective is to provide emergency repairs and construction services to elderly, disabled and economically disadvantaged people who are unable to obtain home repairs through traditional means. Builders Care enlists the volunteer services of Lee BIA members and leverages grants and donated materials to provide construction and remodeling services to qualified homeowners throughout LeeCounty.
