The Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) is hosting the fourth annual BBQ, Bands and Brew to benefit its nonprofit charitable arm Builders Care on Sunday, April 7 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. at the Lee County Alliance for the Arts. This year’s fundraiser includes a Poker Run that starts out at Fort Myers Harley-Davidson located at 2160 Colonial Blvd. Participants can register online or between 9 and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 7 at the Fort Myers Harley-Davidson. Builders provide free ramp to North Fort Myers family

Roy and Betty Logan have had their share of major medical challenges, including Roy’s life-threatening complications related to diabetes. Roy, 58, had his leg amputated in December and just returned home after a two-month stay in the hospital and six months in a rehabilitation facility. The Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) is hosting the fourth annual BBQ, Bands and Brew to benefit its nonprofit charitable arm Builders Care on Sunday, April 7 from 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. at the Lee County Alliance for the Arts. The fundraiser is open to the public and will feature local music, several local barbecue restaurants, BBQ competition to name the Best BBQ in town and kids activities. Admission is $10 per person. Builders Care, the nonprofit arm of the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA), will host its fourth annual miniature golf tournament to raise funds to help local homeowners in need. BIA members and the community are invited to come out and play a round of 18 holes and join in the festivities to benefit local elderly and disabled homeowners in need. Builders Care, with the help of local Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) members and volunteers, has completed renovations at the North Fort Myers home of Daniel Thornton, an accident survivor, and his family. Throughout their lives, the Thornton family has given their time and services to help others. Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting hosted its fourth annual charity shootout golf tournament at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples on June 9. Local builders answer the call to provide much-needed air conditioning system for Lehigh Acres woman and son with brain cancer

Builders Care, with the help of local Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) members and volunteers, has completed the installation of a new three-ton air conditioning system at the Lehigh Acres home of Linda and Shane Washburn. Shane, age 36, has suffered with brain cancer since birth and is wheelchair and bed bound.
