ABAB Accountants en Adviseurs chooses IT infrastructure from Proact – again
ABAB Accountants en Adviseurs, an all-round accountancy and consultancy organisation with around 700 employees working in 14 branches, has again selected Proact as its supplier for a new IT infrastructure. Proact will deliver and implement the complete solution, consisting of storage, back-up and switches, including 24x7 support for the hardware and software. ABAB have signed a five-year contract.
The current NetApp storage environment had reached the end of its technical service life. The goal of the renewal was to obtain a new storage infrastructure based on NetApp that would be future-proof, guarantee increased availability and scalability with reduced management complexity.

The total solution delivered by Proact consists of NetApp systems, back-up software from CommVault, and Cisco switches. ABAB thereby has a highly-scalable environment that ensures the performance and availability of applications and processes.
A minimal impact on the performance and management of the NetApp storage environment is guaranteed through the maximum integration with NetApp snapshots from a single graphic user interface from the CommVault software for all back-up and restore tasks.
In addition to supporting the 10 Gb Ethernet, the new Cisco network switches will also provide more redundancy to the infrastructure.
