Get chooses Proact
Get services and equipment which have been outsourced to a third party up to now are being brought back in-house. This will save money and ensure that Get’s customers can enjoy even more robust services. Proact is the company’s preferred advisor and service provider for its new strategy.
Get has made a decision relating to services and equipment currently outsourced to a third-party service provider, bringing them back in-house to enhance its competitiveness and ensure greater uptime levels.
“Insourcing is a vital element of our new IT strategy. It will save us money and ensure more robust services. 70 per cent of physical services will be removed when the infrastructure is virtualised. This will ensure faster rollout of new services, even better security and greater uptime,” says Elisabeth Larsen, IT operations manager at Get.
Get has entered into a cooperation with IT specialist Proact, which will be supplying Get with a redundant converged infrastructure known as FlexPod.
“FlexPod comprises everything you need to supply IT as a service: servers, storage, network equipment and software. It uses top-shelf technology from Cisco, NetApp and VMware, providing Get with business, technical and administrative benefits,” says Eirik Pedersen, Managing Director at Proact.
It is fun to work with such a professional IT department with such passion and guts, and we are looking forward to helping them achieve their targets,” says Pedersen.
