Hinas chooses Proact
Proact will be a preferred supplier of data storage products to Norwegian hospitals and health authorities for the next four years. This is an important framework agreement in which the total value may be in excess of several hundred million Norwegian kroner (NOK) each year. Proact was rated as the best in terms of services and maintenance.
Helseforetakenes Innkjøpsservice AS (HINAS) has selected storage suppliers for the Norwegian health service for the next two years, with an option of extension for a further two years. Four suppliers have been singled out, and the agreement is valid from 1 June 2014. Dell, Evry and Atea are preferred suppliers in addition to Proact.
This agreement means that when Norwegian health institutions come to select new storage solutions, only the suppliers covered by the framework agreement will be able to submit tenders. Product range, quality, services and maintenance have been important criteria in the organisation’s search for the right suppliers.
“To be favoured in competition with so many strong providers is outstanding. This provides us with a massive injection of motivation and confirmation for the organisation as a whole,” says Eirik Pedersen, Managing Director of Proact.
Hospitals use various forms of storage products from most major providers. Proact holds top certification on most of these. There are high demands for competence and experience when it comes to storage and secure management of sensitive data.
“Being chosen to deliver solutions for some of the most important information in society is a huge vote of confidence. As an expert supplier of many of the top platforms from the most reliable manufacturers, we have the power required. We are looking forward to demonstrating this,” says Pedersen.
“We will show in each mini tender that we are worthy of the trust placed in us. We know that we can supply cutting-edge expertise, now we will also prove that we are best when it comes to provide the proper solutions.”
