Law firm DWF adopts cloud services from Proact to aid rapid business growth
London, UK: Proact, Europe's leading storage integrator and cloud services provider, is today announcing that it is providing the business law firm DWF with cloud services to facilitate the firm’s rapid growth.
DWF has deployed an enterprise cloud solution, which is fully managed by Proact. The on-premise Storage as a Service (StaaS) solution will be hosted at DWF’s primary offices with backup and disaster recovery being delivered from the Proact Enterprise Cloud. DWF now has access to high end storage technologies through a system that can grow with its business, improving system performance and resilience. This is part of DWF’s overall business strategy to reach a top 20 position in the law industry.
DWF adopted a StaaS model rather than the traditional approach in order to quickly develop other strategic agendas. By mapping its IT closely with its business strategy, DWF has driven an estimated £0.5m to supporting business expansion and client side developments.
Richard Hodkinson, CTO at DWF, comments: “The cloud based IT solution provided by Proact has changed the profile of the investment making high end technologies more accessible and enabling other investments in areas to be developed. Our business is growing fast and we can now redirect cash in improving the business, adding to our client services and supporting expansion.” He added: “Proact took the time to get under the skin of our business needs and provided us with a solution that reflects our growth strategy. When we were searching for a solution Proact’s proposition was far superior to other suppliers.”
Jason Clark, CEO at Proact UK, adds: “We’ve been working with the legal sector for many years and understand how important reliable and scalable IT is for them. IT underpins the service they offer to their clients and the rate at which business can grow. Changes in regulations have meant that non-lawyers can now own law firms, increasing competition and the way the industry is run. Having an agile IT infrastructure with a fixed fee means a law firm can optimise how the business operates. We’ve provided DWF with an innovative approach to IT allowing the company to focus on its core business.”
