Leading data centre and cloud services provider Proact will now be able to offer its industry-leading IT solutions under the Technology Products 2 framework until 31st October 2019. This agreement by the Crown Commercial Service is available for use by all UK public sector bodies and aims to provide unrivalled ‘value for money’ for customers and suppliers.

Proact has been offering IT solutions and support services via this framework since November 2016. Using the firm’s long heritage of assisting public sector organisations with their IT challenges and its vendor agnostic capabilities, Proact will continue to provide solutions as part of Lot 1 of Technology Products 2, Hardware.

Technology Products 2 is open to all central government departments, governmental bodies and agencies, non-governmental bodies, NHS organisations and local authorities across the United Kingdom.

Proact takes part in competitive tenders for public sector customers who are looking to transform their data centre hardware, operating systems and utility software. In addition, as part of the firm’s customer engagements via the framework, Proact can support customers with professional services including pre-build staging and imaging, delivery, installation, configuration, user handover, removal of packaging and disposal of old equipment.

Customers who use the framework benefit from the best public sector prices, because suppliers’ margins are contractually capped and audited to ensure great value. Furthermore timescales are reduced as no further OJEU process is required.

Martin Thompson, Managing Director of Proact UK, says: “Proact offers world-class technology and the support services organisations often need to leverage these platforms. This means we are ideally placed to support our UK public sector customers on their digital journeys.”

Thompson continues, “We offer flexible, available and highly secure solutions that can assist with common IT challenges such as reducing risk and cost. It is great that we can continue to offer these capabilities to public sector organisations through this simple procurement framework.”
