Proact grows in Denmark – acquires Great Solutions
Proact in Denmark, Proact Systems A/S, grows through acquisition of the company Great Solutions A/S (previous BareApp, Denmark). All activities and employees of Great Solutions continue within Proact after the acquisition.
Proact, who has been based in Denmark for twelve years with its main office in Copenhagen and a local office in Århus, is now strengthening its position with the acquisition of Great Solutions, a Storage reseller on the Danish market.
- Great Solutions has, as Proact, expertise in data storage and backup systems. Great Solutions is a pure NetApp reseller and bring big expertise within an area where we can see an increased demand from our customers, says Carsten Egeberg, CEO of Proact Systems A/S. – We have for a long time known Great Solutions as skilled colleagues and competitors in the business, so when the opportunity of this deal came up, we did not hesitate to move. With the acquisition we are strengthening our position as the leading storage integrator on the market. Our knowledge and our service offerings will now be available for our total customer base and the market in total.
Despite that Great Solutions has is relatively small they have many big Danish companies in their customer base. Proact is calculating on expand the co-operation with these companies.
- For confidential reasons I cannon mention the customers by name, explains Carsten Egeberg, but Great Solutions’ customer base is one of the reasons for the acquisition. We calculate on expanding the co-operation with a great number of these companies who now can have access to support and other services on different levels from Proact.
Immediate effect
Proact’s takeover of the Great Solutions A/S is effective from 1 October 2010, and all activities and employees are moved into Proact immediately.
