ProAct helps WM-Data Scania build a new platform for data backup Integrates and consolidates all the company's backup solutions WM-Data Scania AB, a company jointly owned by WM-Data and Scania, has decided to replace its entire platform for backing up and restoring data throughout the company's different environments. To supply the new platform, WM-Data Scania has chosen ProAct Datasystem AB, a specialist and integrator in the field of infrastructure for securing mission- critical information. WM-Data Scania works within a heterogeneous environment that includes mainframe systems, Unix servers, OpenVMS servers and Windows NT systems. In connection with a review of company operations, WM-Data Scania decided to replace their present data-backup systems with a new, homogeneous solution based on a proposal from ProAct Datasystem. The new solution will form a part of WM-Data Scania's future SAN solution. ProAct will be in charge of project management, installation and supply of the hardware and software.
