ProAct IT Group strengthens position in Finland - acquires Finnish security- and network company In April, ProAct acquired the integrator JP Networking OY in Finland, thus underlining its commitment to the rapidly expanding areas of security and advanced networks. JP Networking OY, an expansive company with specialist competence in the fields of security and networks, employs five people. The acquisition of the company involves a large, performance-based supplementary payment, and the parties involved have chosen not to publish the purchase price. The company manager Jouni Pohjala, will remain as Managing Director in ProAct Networking OY, which will be the company's new name. Security, networks and data storage are three central elements within the field of "Infrastructure for mission-critical information", which, with more than 700 customers in the Nordic region, constitutes ProAct's primary focus area. Following this acquisition, ProAct will employ around 30 people in Finland, divided between the companies ProAct Datasystem OY and ProAct Networking OY. The two companies will be co- ordinating their administration and premises, and, similarly, will be working together on major projects for large customers in Finland. Firewalls, intrusion detection, VPN, PKI, switching and load balancing are examples of the skills that ProAct Networking OY commands. The ProAct Group already contains the successful ProAct Networking AB in Sweden, which has been active for two years and employs around 20 people.
