At this year’s Canalys Channel Forum in Barcelona Proact was named EMEA Channel Partner of the Year 2015. The award was presented to Carsten Egeberg, Proact’s Danish Managing Director.

The conference, with more than 1500 one-to-one meetings with delegates, was organised by analysis company Candefero, which analyses the IT industry and focuses on the channel, i.e. producers, distributors and dealers.

Principal Analyst Alastair Edwards from Candefero gave the reasons for the judges’ various choices. The Candefero Channel Partner of the Year Awards recognise outstanding performance in specific areas: Revenue Growth, Innovation and Transformation, Cloud: Software, Cloud: Managed Services, and Infrastructure Growth, together with an overall Channel Partner of the Year award.

Proact was announced as the overall Candefero Channel Partner of the Year, “recognising the company’s excellence in terms of its strategy, financial performance and transformation”.

“Developments show that IT solutions will gradually become more and more complex. This is why dealers need to specialise more extensively and not just seek to supply classic infrastructure in the form of servers and storage. The companies of today require hybrid solutions which guarantee them access to the applications and resources they need here and now,” says Steve Brazier, Candefero’s President and CEO.

“IT will no longer be an either-or choice. Both on-premise and cloud solutions will be needed, and these must be able to communicate with one another so that businesses do not lose momentum. Time to Market is essential.”

Whether workloads are located at the company itself, in Proact vCloud or in vCloud Air is not important. What matters is the fact that everything can be controlled from a single collective platform. This can be presented from Self Service to the entire company, thereby making the IT department a broker of IT services and an innovative element in the company’s business development.

“We are very honoured to receive this award, which demonstrates that we are capable of supplying the hybrid solutions needed by companies all over Europe – and we can supply them right now. Besides our technical expertise, the Proact group also has strong finances so we can guarantee that we will be here for our customers in the future as well,” says Carsten Egeberg.
