ProAct signs two new framework agreements with leading telecommunications operator ProAct IT Group has signed two new working agreements with Telia IT- Service. The first agreement refers to a range of consultancy services, where ProAct - a leading Nordic specialist and integrator in the field of infrastructure for securing mission-critical information - will be one of the framework agreement suppliers who are to assist Telia with project management, analyses and implementation in the areas of data storage and IT-security. This agreement means that ProAct's involvement with Telia will be extended from pure data storage projects to more general consultation and project management within a broader field. The agreement covers 2001 and 2002. The other agreement is to run for 16 months as from and including September 2001 and refers to maintenance and support for some of Telia IT-Service's data storage solutions for data back-up, known collectively as storage. The storage concept includes backing up and restoring mission-critical information. ProAct will also be assisting Telia IT- Services with security services. The agreement covers four cities in Sweden: Gothenburg, Kalmar, Sundsvall and Stockholm. "The framework agreement with ProAct means that we no longer have to worry about "fire-fighting" and can instead concentrate on developing our business. ProAct has provided such services to Telia IT-Services for many years and in a range of ways, and the results have always been very good," says Kjell Anderson of Telia IT-Service. Another reason for choosing ProAct was the excellent geographical coverage the company provides, both in Sweden and in the Nordic region as a whole. "As environments become ever more complex to implement and administrate, an increasing number of companies are consolidating support in the fields of data storage and security. At the same time, powerful but complex solutions such as Storage Area Networks (SANs) are beginning to gain ground among companies, and this requires specialist skills," says Robert Toninelli, a sales executive with ProAct Datasystems - one of the companies in the ProAct IT Group.
