ProAct Systems to deliver new infrastructure to the Hakon Gruppen In connection with the revamping of its IT infrastructure, leading Norwegian food chain corporation Hakon Gruppen has signed an agreement with ProAct Systems AS regarding the delivery of a server and storage solution. ProAct will deliver and implement a large Sun-server together with a storage solution from Hitachi. "This solution gives us the best from two worlds and by having a good integrator who we can trust to integrate the solution, we don't see any potential risk in using servers and storage equipment from two vendors," says Kjell Nannestad, database manager at Hakon Gruppen. We have been using ProAct Systems for many years. Nobody is an expert on everything but ProAct has proven themselves very competent in the areas of heavy servers, storage and backup/restore. For ProAct Systems AS this order, worth approximately 4,3 million NOK, marks a milestone in the company's history since it is the first sale of a server from Suns new line of products.
