Sihl+Eika Papier in Switzerland choses ProAct
Sihl+Eika Papier AG to centralize their storage- and backup environment in co-operation with ProAct Datasystems AG ProAct Datasystems AG in March signed a deal with the Swiss company Sihl+Eika to deliver a new infrastructure solution. The deal is initially worth approximately 5,8 MSEK. Implementation will start in May. Sihl+Eika Papier AG is the second largest paper wholesale provider in Switzerland and is doing very well on the market. One of the reasons for the success is innovative IT solutions. "Time to market" is very important for Sihl+Eika Papier. In order to manage customer requirements and provide high quality solutions for every particular business challenge, Sihl+Eika keeps pushing the boundaries of what can be done technically. ProAct has been chosen as partner in the "Service Recovery Project" which will be planned, implemented and supported by ProAct. Its aim is to limit downtime and maximize security. The project infrastructure will include a disk system, a tape library and a ProAct Fast Restore Cache solution, as well as Legato software. The new solution both covers the needs of today and offers the scaling and expandability abilities to handle future demands. Thereby the return of investment is ensured.
