Ymor outsources administration to Proact in transition to the cloud

Ymor, the independent specialist in Application Performance Management and ITOA, chooses Proact as its new partner for administering its IT environment and outsourcing its Disaster Recovery environment.

Ymor was looking for a partner that could supply, support and administer every aspect of IT infrastructure.  The aim was for Ymor to lighten the load of its IT infrastructure, so that – amongst other things – the organization could focus on continuing development of its product and service portfolio, including Ymonitor, a service that continuously measures availability and performance of applications end-to-end.

Martin Herrman, Manager DevOps at Ymor says, “In able to be focus entirely on our clients and software we opted to outsource administration of our infrastructure.  Based on our business needs we looked at several solutions and finally chose Proact. We are now taking the step towards the cloud in defined phases. We see Proact as a flexible partner which will help us to make the switch rapidly, with a lot of expertise in the field of data centre solutions and cloud services.”

Lucas den Os, Managing Director of Proact Netherlands, “Businesses really want to run IT like a business today; effective, efficient and with a clear focus on support for core processes. The cloud is an important enabler here, but many organizations struggle with this issue. With Ymor we have linked the potential embrace of the cloud to corporate objectives, so that business and IT functions have the same starting point. A prudent choice, because a successful transition to the cloud starts with a good ‘business-cloud-alignment’.”
