Proact wins major new storage business

Archive and storage specialists Proact have been entrusted with an extended and expanded commission by a major corporation in the finance sector. This deal relates to the upgrading of an existing storage solution and a new archiving solution in order to meet new archiving requirements. The deal is worth SEK 9.5 million, including support.

Proacts client operates in the finance sector, working with investments, management and finance. The cooperation began three years ago in connection with a procurement process whereby the client was looking for a new storage supplier. Proact has now been entrusted with a further commission as the solution needs to be updated and upgraded in order to meet the needs of the corporation.

Greater demands have also led to the organisation installing a cluster solution in which all data is stored twice across two geographically separate data centres, which guarantees the safety of the information should there be a system crash or interruption.

All in all, this is a solution which will help to achieve a secure, efficient IT environment while at the same time making it easier to operate, says Lena Eskilsson, Regional Manager at Proact.

Companies and organisations in the world of banking and finance have strict demands when it comes to how they handle information. This makes stringent demands of backup, storage, disaster protection and where data is stored, and for how long. Proact is helping a number of major organisations in this industry to safeguard their information, ensuring that it is handled both efficiently and securely.
