Research Company wins ‘Gold Award’ at CIPR Thames and Chiltern PRide Awards
Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) awards MMR Research Worldwide a Gold PRide award for best business PR campaign.
Oxfordshire- Research specialist MMR Research Worldwide (MMR) has won a CIPR PRide Award for its work promoting the value of consumer research in the design of product packaging. MMR beat off five finalists in the Thames & Chiltern regional awards to take the Gold award for the best Business & Corporate Communications Campaign.MMR, with the support of its PR agency Propel Technology, devised a multi-channel campaign which involved sharing its expertise through feature articles, blogs and case studies and by speaking at major international packaging events as well as commissioning new, self-funded research into the relationship between packaging format and product taste.
The judging panel commented: “This clear and comprehensive campaign used a variety of complementary tactics to achieve its objectives. A strong point was the absolute focus on excellent positioning of an industry expert in a truly global campaign. The campaign demonstrated excellent business results and return on investment. It is a clearly thought through and well executed campaign.”
David Howlett, strategic planning director at MMR says: “We are delighted to be recognised by the CIPR for our work. This was part of an ongoing effort to promote the importance of big food, drink, household and personal care brands undertaking in depth consumer research when developing their packaging. Packaging is still the poor relative of product and brand when it comes to consumer research, yet it presents such a key opportunity to engage with the consumer from purchase, through consumption, to disposal. We will continue to reach out to brand owners and packaging innovators to help them recognise the part packaging plays.
