COMMENTS TO KAPSCH TRAFFICCOM AG’S ACQUISITION OF SHARES IN Q-FREE ASA

Reference is made to today’s disclosure of Kapsch Trafficcom AG’s (“Kapsch”) acquisition of 20.4% of the outstanding shares in Q-Free ASA (“Q-Free”) for NOK 10 per share.The board of Q-Free is surprised by the approach from Kapsch, and has to date not received any information regarding the background for its acquisition of shares. Accordingly, the board of Q-Free has at present no basis for evaluating Kapsch`s ultimate strategic intentions and rationale.
