Railcare provides support to healthcare and business during the ongoing pandemic
The Swedish state decided to reduce the employer's contribution during the period March to June 2020 as a support to companies during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Railcare is not dependent on the reduced employers' fees even if the reduction is welcomed. Railcare, therefore, decided to use these funds to, among other things, help healthcare and business in the local areas in which the company works. In collaboration with local restaurants, Railcare distributes food boxes to health centres, hospitals, and nursing homes. The company has also ordered 3000 litres of hand sanitizer from whiskey manufacturer Mackmyra, in Sweden, (who changed its production). Among other things, the hand gel will be donated to health care.
"We are conducting this initiative as an internal project to support the community by fighting Covid-19 and helping in various ways," says Daniel Öholm, CEO Railcare Group AB.
