THE FOOD DIVISION OF RAISIO TO BE REORGANIZED
Rationalization needs also in general administration and research & development

The performance of Raisio has been unsatisfactory and the growth slower than
planned. Streamlining of group structure started in spring and will now be
followed by reorganization of Food Division. The turnover of Food Division in
2005 was EUR 210 million i.e. half of the group turnover and the Division is loss-
making.

For financial and production reasons Raisio will begin the codetermination talks
in Food Division's administration, sales and marketing and margarine business.
Furthermore, the codetermination talks will take place in group service
functions, purchasing and logistics as well as in r&d, which will be integrated
into the businesses.

The permanent or temporary personnel reduction need is estimated to approximately
65 employees. The aimed cost saving is about EUR 9 million in 2007.
