RATOS DIVESTS LOGISTICS OPERATIONS IN GREAT BRITAIN Divestment of Inter Forward units completed Ratos has today signed an agreement to sell the British subsidiary, BVS Logistics Ltd, to First Line Logistics Ltd. BVS Logistics was a company in the former Inter Forward Group. The company stores, distributes and installs computers, copiers, white goods, etc in Great Britain. Sales in 1997 were approximately SEK 45M and the number of employees was slightly less than 100. The company reports a loss. The sale involves a small capital loss for the Ratos Group. Ratos' net asset value is only insignificantly affected. The deal means that the work of divesting Inter Forward units has now been completed. Ratos has decided to remain as owner of a profitable air forwarding operation with approximately 200 employees. It has previously been announced that the Rail and Road Divisions and the German air forwarding operations have been divested. The sales have generated a total capital gain for the Ratos Group of approximately SEK 220M. Ratos' net asset value has increased by approximately the equivalent amount.
