Hilding Anders - new CEO Anders Pålsson will take up his position as CEO of Hilding Anders on 1 January 2003. He will take over from the present CEO Bengt Adolfsson who has been appointed chairman of the board. New CEO for Atle Industri In September, Hans Åke Norås will take up his position as CEO of Atle Industri - one of the major holdings in private equity company Ratos's portfolio. Yarrow sells part of operations - changes name to Giga Ratos's associated company Yarrow has transferred its operations within applications management and development to management employees. The transfer means that the remaining business will be streamlined towards IT infrastructure and receive the name Giga. The transferred operations, which will keep the name Yarrow, had sales totalling SEK 26m in the first half of 2002 and 62 employees. Sale of Kronans Droghandel completed Since all the conditions for the sale of Ratos's shares in Kronans Droghandel to the Finnish company Orion have now been met, the deal is being completed as planned. The positive effect of the sale on Ratos's results for Q2 2002 is approximately SEK 55m. An agreement was signed on 12 April to sell Kronans Droghandel to the Finnish company Orion. Ratos sells its Esselte holding Ratos has sold its entire holding of 5,163,207 Class A shares and 611,600 Class B shares, corresponding to approximately 33% of the votes and approximately 17% of the capital, in Esselte. The buyer is the US private equity fund J.W. Childs, which last week announced its bid for all of Esselte. A prerequisite for J.W. Camfil Farr sells part of US operations Air filter manufacturer Camfil Farr sold its US Engine division yesterday to the American company Parker Hannifin for just under SEK140m. Telia Overseas sells holding in Bharti Mobile

Telia Overseas sells holding in Bharti Mobile Telia Overseas AB, which is 9% owned by Ratos, has sold its 26% stake in Bharti Mobile Ltd in India. The purchaser is the Indian mobile operator Bharti Televentures. The sale is expected to give Telia Overseas a capital gain of approximately SEK 200m. Total invested capital including loans amounted to SEK 528m. The sale is in line with the company's strategy to successively realise earlier investments. Martinsson completes offer for IMS Ratos's associated company Martinsson made a public offer for all the shares in IMS Data on 18 February this year. Martinsson offered SEK 4.05 per share in IMS Data. The extended application period for the offer expired on 26 April 2002. Superfos completes acquisition of Jotipac Group The Competition authorities concerned have now approved Superfos´s acquisition of Danish Jotipac Group from VT Holding. Superfos acquires all shares in the Jotipac Group A/S for DKK 470m. In addition Superfos will take over net interest-bearing liabilities of DKK 150m. In conjunction with the purchase Ratos will inject DKK 66m in Superfos by participating in a new share issue.
