RE:OCEAN and Natsu Foods signs an agreement to serve the German retailer sushi market with super fresh sustainable land based salmon from Sweden.
RE:OCEAN and Natsu Foods are pleased to announce that they have signed an agreement to cooperate in producing, selling, and supplying probably the most sustainable salmon in the world in the German market. Natsu Foods, who is a leading supplier of ultra-fresh sushi to retailers in Germany, has pledged to purchase a considerable share of RE:OCEANs salmon, when production starts in 2026.
This partnership represents a significant step forward in the efforts of both companies to promote sustainable practices and reduce the environmental impact of the seafood industry. Natsu Foods is committed to sourcing its fish from responsible and sustainable sources, and RE:OCEAN's use of innovative technology to reduce the environmental impact aligns with this commitment.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with Natsu Foods who has a very strong foothold in the German sushi market and exactly the customer group we aim to target," says Morten Malle, CEO of RE:OCEAN. "Through this partnership, we can demonstrate all the benefits with land based salmon, from sustainability to taste, economic viability to continuous supply".
"We are committed to sourcing our fish from responsible and sustainable sources," says Tim Hörnemann, CEO of Natsu Foods. "Partnering with RE:OCEAN is a natural fit for us, as their innovative technology aligns with our commitment to reducing the environmental impact of the seafood industry."
This collaboration marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between RE:OCEAN and Natsu Foods, with the goal of increasing the share of truly sustainable seafood in the world.
