Tyre recyclers to be recognised with innovation award

Leading companies and individuals involved in the treatment, processing or use of end of life tyres are set to have their efforts recognised by the industry again this year. The second Michelin Innovation Award will be presented at the Tyre Recovery Association’s (TRA) annual dinner on Friday 17th June. The award will be presented to the company or person judged to have made the most significant innovation in this key area of the industry. Responsible recycling plea issued to tyre retailers

Tyre retailers and garages have received an overwhelming plea for their support in helping to eradicate illegal tyre collection and disposal activities which cost the environment, society and legitimate businesses significant sums every year. Garages face prosecution over illegal tyre dumping

Garages and tyre dealers are being warned that they could face significant fines or custodial sentences if they fail to recycle their used tyres correctly.
