Relish Publications Launch South East Book at Ockendon Manor
Relish Publications, the UK’s leading fine dining guide and recipe book publisher will be launching their latest offering ‘Relish South East’ at Ockendon Manor Hotel and Spa on 26thJanuary 2015, featuring 20+ of the best restaurants from the region. The afternoon launch is a celebration of all the restaurants, with executive teams, and owners of the South East’s leading restaurants in attendance.
Celebrated chef, Angela Hartnett, wrote the foreword for the latest edition and commented: ‘The South East of England is home to some incredible produce, from wild mushrooms to garlic, venison, beef and lamb, and Luke and I celebrate all these ingredients in our menus at Hartnett Holder & Co. The producers who farm and rear this produce are an important part of the local community and supporting them helps the community to prosper. I was brought up in Kent with a passion for good, honest food instilled in me by my Italian grandmother and mother. Meals were homely but always made from the best seasonal ingredients we could afford and these experiences have formed my approach as a chef today.’
The approach of Angela and her team is reflected across the region, and the signature dishes of many of the restaurants focus on local produce and a genuine passion for honest, refined and great tasting food.
