Relish South West offers a Treat for Fine Diners
A Bristol chef has come up with the perfect recipe for Christmas – after helping to launch a prestigious new recipe book featuring the finest chefs of the South West.
Louise McCrimmon, who is the executive chef at Harvey Nichol’s Second Floor Restaurant, is among the star names in the new Relish South West Book.
The title features the region’s most illustrious cooks, including the multi-award-winning, two-Michelin-starred Michael Caines, of Gidleigh Park, in Devon.
It has been published by Relish Publications, which has created a series of fine dining guides around the UK. The book was launched yesterday (11thDecember) at the Bath Priory, in Bath, by Relish owners Duncan and Teresa Peters and chefs from across the region.
Mrs McCrimmon said she was delighted to feature in the book. She said: “We’re very proud of what we do at the Second Floor Restaurant and Bar, at Harvey Nichols. To be given the opportunity to showcase our work in one of the UK’s most prestigious fine dining guides is a real privilege.
“We’re delighted to feature in Relish South West. We had plenty of space in the book to tell people what we’re all about, why we love the South West and we were also able to showcase three of our unique recipes. It will make a great Christmas present for our guests.”
Michael Caines said the book showcased the great produce and restaurants of the South West region.
He said: “As a Devon boy, I have always felt the importance of supporting local producers. In a rural area, that helps local communities to thrive and keeps businesses and families in the region. The South West continues to lead the UK in high quality, authentic cooking with locally sourced ingredients and that’s what makes it special.”
