Relishing a Dinner at The Falcondale

To celebrate their inclusion in new recipe book and fine dining guide Relish Wales Second Helping, The Falcondale in Lampeter, West Wales is cooking the book.

This outstanding restaurant is hosting an evening on 21st March when they will feature the menu they selected for inclusion in the new book, which is due out at the end of April.

Friday, 21st March 2014, meeting at 7.00pm

Relish is a collection of original recipes from the nation’s finest chefs. The 2014 edition will include recipes from the top team of chefs at The Falcondale. The evening will showcase these dishes, allowing diners to taste before, if they wish and pre-ordering a copy of the book. The Falcondale chefs will be meeting guests after they have served dinner, and will be happy to answer any questions – and pass on tips!

Simon Awdry from Bibendum wines will be joining the festivities on the evening. He has carefully matched delicious wines to compliment each of the courses. He will give an explanation as to why he chose each one, and will be around afterwards to answer any questions diners may have regarding wine choosing and serving wine.

The evening will commence with a selection of canapés to awaken your taste buds

STARTER Ham & Eggs as you've never seen them before 
FISH COURSE Red mullet with clam and mussel broth
MAIN COURSE Celtic Pride Beef Please be aware that this dish is not shown in the Relish book
DESSERT White chocolate and green tea mousse with lemongrass and lime sorbet

COFFEE
 
 Tea and coffee with handmade chocolates served at the end of the evening
WINES Each course will have an accompanying glass of wine, which Simon will have chosen to compliment each dish - 4 glasses in total. You will have an opportunity to buy more glasses or bottles on the evening should you wish
