Global pharmaceutical industry supplier budgets to rise by 6% to 2013
"Global Pharmaceutical Survey 2012-2013: Market Trends, Marketing Spend and Sales Strategies in the Global Pharmaceutical Industry" is a new report analysing Pharmaceutical industry supplier media spend, marketing and sales strategies and business practices to 2013.
According to the report, 56% of respondents throughout the pharmaceutical industry are ‘more optimistic’ about revenue growth for their company over the next 12 months compared to the previous 12 months. LowGDPgrowth rates, reduced consumer spending and decreased government expenditure had slowed the growth of the pharmaceutical industry in 2009.
The report’s industry survey revealed that on average, the marketing budgets of pharmaceutical industry suppliers are expected to rise by 6% over the next 12 months. Moreover, 25% of respondents expected an increase in marketing expenditure between 5–10% in 2011, while 18% of respondents expected a decrease of 10–25%.
