    The boards of Rottneros and Arctic Paper have decided to invest 15 million euro in a moulded fiber tray factory at Arctic Papers premises in Kostrzyn, Poland.     Rottneros will make changes in Group management going forward to secure the generation change in purchasing and increase focus on the growth initiatives in Packaging and Innovation.Purchasing Arvid Svanborg has been recruited as new purchasing director at Rottneros and will start no later than November 1, 2020.     New production record, significantly increased uncertainty due to corona·THE NBSK PULP MARKET PRICE was 28 % lower in USD and 24 % lower in SEK compared to the first quarter 2019.     ANOTHER RECORD-STRONG QUARTER · Net turnover for the first quarter of 2019 increased by 17% to SEK 630m (537). · EBIT (operating profit) for the first quarter of 2019 rose by 81% to SEK 141m (78), which is a record for a single quarter in the Group’s current structure. · Profit after financial items for the first quarter of 2019 increased to SEK 136m (73).     Rottneros Packaging has started manufacturing in new premises

    Rottneros Packaging moved into new, suitable premises in 2018 and started manufacturing moulded fibre trays in early 2019. The total investment in the new factory amounts to approximately SEK 45 million and mainly consists of a tailor-made system for preparing pulp and four machines for the manufacture of trays. The latest machine was purchased at the end of March and is put into operation by the end of 2019. After commissioning and trimming, the capacity in the factory will amount to 50-80 million trays per year, depending on the size of trays produced. The trays are primarily

    As part of optimising the Rottneros Group, a new organisation is introduced with a group-wide sales organisation and a site manager for each mill.     Rottneros develops eco-friendly food packaging and builds a new production line

    Rottneros has developed a food packaging tray for fresh food and take away. The tray is manufactured entirely with wooden raw material and is both recyclable, renewable and degradable. The new product has been developed at Rottneros’ facility in Sunne, Sweden where a completely new production line for the trays is currently building. The tray will replace today's plastic alternatives and will be used for convenience food, meat in grocery stores and take away food.The tray is based entirely on Swedish wooden raw materials and can withstand moisture and keep the food fresh.
