Rottneros implements changes in Group management
Rottneros will make changes in Group management going forward to secure the generation change in purchasing and increase focus on the growth initiatives in Packaging and Innovation.
Purchasing
Arvid Svanborg has been recruited as new purchasing director at Rottneros and will start no later than November 1, 2020. Arvid's appointment is the result of a thorough recruitment process. The current purchasing director Ingemar Eliasson has announced that he wants to retire early 2021, when he turns 65.
Arvid Svanborg has a solid background in the timber market. Most recently he comes from the position as CEO of Västkustens Skog AB. Prior to that, Arvid has been timber manager at BillerudKorsnäs, worked with raw material issues for IKEA in Asia and he has been employed at Mellanskog. He has a Master of Science in Forestry from SLU and an MBA from Uppsala University.
“I am very happy that we succeeded in recruiting Arvid to Rottneros. He has a broad and solid background in supply issues within the pulp and paper industry as well as related businesses. His experience from both larger and smaller organizations will contribute to Rottneros' continued development as a company that wants to make a difference", says Lennart Eberleh, President and CEO of Rottneros AB.

Arvid will be a member of Group management.
Rottneros Packaging
On June 1, Jens Hallendorff will assume the position as Head of Rottneros Packaging in Sunne and as member of Group management. He most recently comes from the role of sales manager for high-yield pulp at Rottneros AB.
“Jens’ task will be to lead the development of Packaging in the next phase, as we have doubled our production capacity. With a background from AssiDomän, Stora Enso, Södra Cell and BillerudKorsnäs where he has worked with production, technical customer service, product development and most recently at Rottneros with sales, he is the perfect candidate to lead Rottneros Packaging from a project to a business. Jens also has a genuine interest in leadership. It is extra satisfying to welcome him to the Group management team, a confirmation that we practice what we preach in trying to create the best possible conditions for an internal career within the group”, says Lennart Eberleh.
Nils Hauri, who is responsible for Innovation and Strategic Projects and currently also head of Packaging, will focus entirely on Innovation and Strategic Projects going forward.
