It’s Hamoween on ToonsTV! Tricks and treats abound in Halloween specials and fan art competition
ToonsTV, Rovio’s free video-on-demand mobile platform with more than 5.4 billion views worldwide, is now premiering brand new Halloween episodes of Angry Birds Toons and Stella. “Porcula” and Stella’s “Night of the Bling” both air exclusively on the ToonsTV app before appearing elsewhere.
On the Angry Birds Facebook page and other social channels, viewers are encouraged to send in their own fan art of Bubbles, the flock’s favorite candy-chomping bird. The spookiest fan creations will be selected and featured in a video airing on October 30.
ToonsTV has also opened a special Halloween-themed channel featuring previous Halloween episodes of Angry Birds Toons, Pucca, Qumi Qumi and other family-friendly shows.
“The Halloween special is a great television tradition, and one of our favorite things about autumn,” says Tuomo Korpinen, Rovio’s EVP Media. “This Halloween we have put together a really fun line-up of seasonal content sure to bring delight to the whole family, and we can’t wait to see – and share – what our amazing fans come up with in the Bubbles fan art challenge.”
ToonsTV began in 2013, when every Angry Birds game also became a video distribution channel, bypassing traditional broadcast media and delivering original content straight to consumers. The standalone ToonsTV app launched earlier this month for iOS and Android, and soon will be available on Amazon App Store as well (October 29). The app is quickly establishing itself as a must-have for family mobile devices.
