Mercedes-Benz Wins Social Media Award

Mercedes-Benz Retail Group was announced as winner of the Best Social Media Campaign category at the AM Awards 2014 on 20 February, held at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham.

The UK’s largest Mercedes-Benz retailer was bestowed the award for its inspired and well thought out social media strategy, its effectiveness and positive business impact in terms of both winning and retaining customers.

Focusing on performance, innovation, safety and style of the brand, the retailer’s social media programme spans Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn. During 2013 significant increases in audience, interaction and engagement were achieved through competitions, quizzes, questions and utilising best practice procedures. The Facebook following grew by 211%, Instagram by 145% and YouTube by 129%.

Mercedes-Benz Retail Group was also ‘Highly Commended’ at the AM Awards 2014 in the category of Best Training Programme for its cohesive training and leadership courses and was shortlisted for a further three awards: Most Improved Company of the Year – Mercedes-Benz Whitefield; Sales Team of the Year – Mercedes-Benz Manchester, and two entries for Dealer Principal/General Manager of the Year – Peter Jiggins and Paul McCreadie, Mercedes-Benz Retail Group.

Mercedes-Benz Retail Group has also been recently recognised by Car Dealer Magazine, which listed the retailer as third in the Top 100 Influential Dealers on Twitter.
