S2Medical AB (publ) signs a manufacturing agreement with a distributor in Saudi Arabia

S2Medical AB (publ) (the "Company") has today concluded a manufacturing agreement for Epiprotect with the Company's distribution partner in Saudi Arabia, Arabian Trade House (ATH). The agreement provides an upfront sum of approximately SEK 2.2 million which can then be called from in the form of finished products or raw material for final packaging. Manufacturing will take place through ATH's manufacturing arm Arabian House for Industries (AHI). The agreement gives AHI an exclusive right to manufacture products for the Saudi market, which may be extended to more countries in the MENA region.

SUMMARY OF INTERIM REPORT During the fourth quarter, sales in regular wound healing products amounted to MSEK 1.2 (1.4), and increased on a full-year basis by approximately 6% compared to 2021. The Group's net turnover during the quarter amounted to MSEK 1.2 (1.6). Turnover for the full year amounted to MSEK 4.7 (7.7). Positive outcome when S2Medicals antimicrobial peptides were tested against the multi resistant bacteria that by WHO have been defined as a global health threat

Scientists from the HeAliX-project which the Company is a part of have evaluated the antimicrobial effect from the peptide technology that the Company acquired and that goes by the name “Admercin”. The new results from the in vitro study show a substantially positive outcome. Epiprotect reduces the cost for treatment of hard to heal leg ulcers with 83%

A compilation of data from patients treated at S2Clinic during the period 2019-2022 showed that the cost of treatment of these patients was reduced by approximately 83% compared to conventional treatment. The treatment with Epiprotect also resulted fully healed wounds in 100 % of the cases.   9 patients with a total of 12 venous leg ulcers were part of the compilation. SUMMARY OF THE INTERIM REPORT   During the third quarter, sales in regular wound healing products amounted to MSEK 0.8 (0.7). The Group's net turnover during the quarter amounted to MSEK 0.8 (0.7). Costs increased compared to the same period last year. The increase of costs is mainly attributable to increased currency losses as a result of a weak krona as well as salary costs and travel costs, which is partly a consequence of increased activity within the company after the years of the pandemic. However, costs are lower than the first and the second quarter of the current year.
