Establishment of new cooperation in the Netherlands
The Netherlands has for a long time been regarded as a very interesting market with great potential for Safe at Sea. A new, well-established and strong distributor is now appointed and contracted as Safe at Sea's partner in the Dutch market.
The Netherlands has with its long coastline, intense marine traffic and some of Europe's largest ports a need for great environmental protection capabilities in case of pollution, floodings or natural disasters. BDS Harlingen BV who will now become Safe at Sea's distributor in this market is since many years well established in this market and experts within the environmental protection and oil/sanitary recovery industry. They are one of the largest actors in this segment and has a frame agreement with Rijkswaterstaat (Rijkswaterstaat is part of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and responsible for the design, construction, management and maintenance of the main infrastructure facilities in the Netherlands). BDS Harlingen BV offers and quotes their solutions and services on tenders within the entire EU / Worldwide where this kind of equipment/services are required. They see a great potential for using Safe at Sea's products within the oil recovery segment but also for floodings, search and rescue, sea rescue, fire rescue, port safety, life rescue along the beaches etc. They are also perform their services on the former Dutch colonies such as Bonair, Eustatius and Saba. "We are delighted to start this cooperation and it is with great expectations we now enter the new segment; environmental protection / oil recovery together with BDS Harlingen BV" says Linda Ahl, Sales and Business Development Manager at Safe at Sea AB. In association with entering this distributor agreement BDS Harlingen BV will also invest in a RescueRunner System that will be used in their own operations as well as a demo-boat for interested organisations to test.
