Havnar Bjargingar Felag (Torshavn Rescue Association) on the Faroe Islands selects RescueRunner for their tough operations
Safe at sea’s RescueRunner is chosen by the Havnar Bjargingar Felag, the Rescue Association of Torshavn, on the Faroe Islands. The RescueRunner will be an integral part of Havnar Bjargingar Felag’s rescue concept, for use in some of the world’s most remote and challenging waters.
With inaccessible shorelines and rough seas, it is often difficult and dangerous to approach the shoreline too closely with larger lifeboats. To solve this challenge, Havnar Bjargingar Felag evaluated numerous possible systems and products available in the market only to chose Safe at Sea’s RescueRunner as the preferred solution for their operations.
The RescueRunner will be carried onboard the Havnar Bjargingar Felag’s larger Sea Rescue vessel /Lifeboat, ready to be deployed at a moment’s notice for search and rescue operations.
Havnar Bjargingar Felag ’s RescueRunner will be fully equipped with nautical instruments, for navigation and communication such as AIS, VHF and GPS so that it may also operate independently and out of sight of the all weather lifeboat / sea rescue mothership.
Havnar Bjargingar Felag carries out both Sea and Mountain Rescue operations. Often will the search and rescue operations require a combination of both. Havnar Bjargingar Felag expects the RescueRunner to be an invaluable resource to such operations, enabling fast deployment and pickup at inaccessible locations.

The RescueRunner system will be delivered during the end of the spring 2020.
