Safello Releases Its Long-Awaited Wallet – Enabling 8 Million Swedes to Instantly Buy and Store Crypto in Less Than a Minute
Stockholm, 5 October 2021 | Swedish fintech Safello today announced the launch of its digital mobile-first cryptocurrency wallet, Safello Wallet, after successful beta rollouts.
On August 12, 2021, Safello entered into an agreement with Fireblocks, the industry-leading platform for securing digital assets, to license their unique wallet infrastructure. Shortly thereafter, Safello launched a private beta programme, which then opened to external users in late September.
Today, Safello Wallet is released to the public, positioning Safello as the true one-stop-shop for crypto in Sweden. Over 8 million Swedes now have the ability to instantly trade and store cryptocurrencies with Swish and Mobile BankID in less than a minute.
With Safello Wallet, users can receive and store cryptocurrencies with the highest possible security available on the market, thanks to Fireblocks’ advanced cryptographic MPC technology that eliminates the single point of failure for private keys. Safello uses the same approach as traditional banks, where access is provided smoothly via BankID without the need for complex passwords or keys.
