The Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime Appoints Safello’s CCO to Chair a New Expert Committee Focusing on Digital Assets
Stockholm, 13 April 2022 | Sweden’s leading crypto broker Safello today announces its Chief Compliance Officer, Michal Gromek, will be heading the Digital Asset Task Force. The task force is a new committee to The Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime with members such as Europol, Interpol, Refinitiv and World Economic Forum.
The aim of the task force is to enhance a unified framework between public and private stakeholders, as well as to provide intelligence to public agencies in discussions connected with AML regulation, MiCA (the proposed EU regulation for Markets in Crypto Assets) or executing sanctions on the Blockchain. The creation of the task force is a response to the rapid adoption of crypto assets, which have seen a 10-fold increase between 2020 and 2021 according to the IMF. The task force brings together industry leaders and Safello is joined by Chainalysis, Elliptic and Global Digital Finance.
