SBB has successfully issued a EUR 500m perpetual bond with a fixed coupon of 2.624%
Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (publ) (”SBB”) has successfully issued a EUR 500m perpetual hybrid bond in the European debt capital markets. The hybrid bond has an initial non-call period of 5.25 years and carries a fixed coupon of 2.624%. The issuance was significantly oversubscribed (by more than five times the issued amount). The bonds will be issued on 30 January 2020 and listed on Euronext Dublin.
The proceeds from the hybrid bond issuance will be used for general corporate purposes, mainly for the redemption of existing secured indebtedness.
"We are proud to have received such a good reception in the European debt capital markets following our inaugural hybrid in 2019. The transaction is an important milestone in our journey towards a BBB+ rating and builds upon the actions taken to date to achieve that goal. The proceeds will allow us to continue to focus on redeeming existing secured indebtedness and new investments in social infrastructure, such as elderly care homes, group housing and schools in the Nordics and rent regulated residentials in Sweden," says Ilija Batljan, CEO and Founder of Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB.
J.P. Morgan acted as Structuring Advisor of the transaction. Citi, Danske Bank, Deutsche Bank and Nordea acted as Joint Bookrunners.
