The development in Skönvik has commenced. SBB has signed a 25-year municipal lease for a preschool in the Municipality of Säter
Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB ("SBB") has signed a 25-year lease with the Municipality of Säter regarding a new preschool in Skönvik for 120 children. This is the starting point for community development in Skönvik with housing and community services, the preschool is expected to be completed in 2024.
SBB is a long-term partner to the public sector by owning, managing and developing community service properties in the Nordics as well as rent regulated residentials in Sweden. With our own local property management organisation and with extensive experience in developing learning environments, we are now continuing the development of our property in Skönvik by building a new preschool for 120 children divided into eight departments and our own kitchen. The continued development of Skönvik takes place in close cooperation between SBB and the Municipality.
The Skönvik area will be developed into a new district in the Municipality, and with its proximity to the centre and nature, the location is attractive for families with children. The district is a welcome feature in the Municipality because there is a long housing queue and the Municipality is attractive in the development that is taking place throughout the region, including Northvolt in Borlänge and the new regiment in Falun.
"The Skönvik area is a very attractive part of Säter's Municipality and establishing a preschool on the site means that more people will be aware of the area's qualities and we hope for continued long-term and good cooperation with the Municipality in the further development," says Krister Karlsson, Deputy CEO, Samhällsbyggnadbolaget i Norden AB.
