Nordic marketing company Framme launches new digital service for making marketing materials more sustainable
Certified B corporation Framme launches its digital service, used by companies such as food delivery company Wolt and tech giant Xiaomi, internationally. The service is the first ever to help brands order, view and manage all of their physical marketing and brand materials, and manage manufacturers from one view. There is no similar service on the market, and next up is a feature for measuring the carbon footprint of branded products.
HELSINKI, Finland (July 20th, 2022) Brands are under ever-growing pressure to measure and make the manufacturing process of their marketing materials more sustainable and cost-efficient. According to Finnish marketing company Framme, up to 50 percent of marketing material costs come from inefficient processes. The scattered production and distribution processes also cause unnecessary material production and thus wastage of raw materials. Framme has come up with a solution to reduce waste and make marketing material production more efficient.
Sam and the Brand is a novel digital service with which brand marketing professionals can track and optimize the production and distribution process of all their marketing materials. Sam and the Brand has been developed within Framme’s core business, and it is now being corporatized as a subsidiary company and its own brand. ”Framme's CEO Jani Modig will move to lead the Sam and the Brand organization as its CEO. Framme's Founder Marko Heino moves from Chairman of the Board to a CEO role at Framme Group, which includes marketing production company Framme and digital platform Sam and the Brand.
The digital service is used by several companies such as Wolt, Xiaomi, Dyson, and Yeply on an international scale.
“We order and distribute over 500,000 pieces of marketing materials to over 20 countries annually. We want to make sure the measurability, efficiency and sustainability of marketing are taken into account, and we are very happy with the service Framme provides. Thanks to this new digital service, we are able to scale our operations and make decisions based on data,” says Juho Uitti, Global Systems and Tools Lead at Wolt. “We use Sam and the Brand to order and distribute all of our physical brand products from stickers to cycling helmets – it’s centralized and smart. We’ve used the service since 2019.”
Marketeers can control their brand more coherently, and distribute their brand materials from one place
With Sam and the Brand, people responsible for different sides of marketing can control their brand materials and distribute all of them from one place. Thus, the brand’s visual identity is also coherent worldwide. The digital service enables companies to add all their marketing material manufacturers and storage information to one simple view. There is no similar service on the market.
“We have numerous retailers in the Nordic countries, and we help them by providing them with different marketing, sales, and training materials. With Framme’s service, we are able to save time, money, and nerves on a weekly basis. Our retailers can make their orders directly on the Sam and the Brand service, and my job is to check and accept the orders with just a few clicks. The orders are then sent from our storage space to the right destination. We don’t have to worry about our storage balance, either,” says Ari Makowski, Retail Manager at Xiaomi.
Up next: measuring the carbon footprint of branded products
Framme is one of the few Nordic marketing agencies who is a certified B Corporation company which means it’s part of a global network of sustainable organizations. Developing Sam and the Brand is one concrete way to improve the sustainability of the company and its clients. Framme is now planning to launch a feature for measuring the carbon footprint of branded products. This also makes it easier for clients to choose a more sustainable alternative.
“We want to help marketing and branding professionals act in a more sustainable way and make their everyday lives easier. Sam and the Brand makes the manufacturing process of marketing materials more sustainable and cost-efficient,” says Jani Modig, CEO at Sam and the Brand. “Our clients also appreciate the fact that they can spend their time on more strategic things than ordering T-shirts and organizing the logistic part. With our digital service, they are also able to make sure their brand is visually coherent on a global scale.”
Sam and the Brand has operated as Framme’s subsidiary company from July 1st onwards. The digital service is in use in over 30 countries worldwide.
