All SAS flights between Copenhagen and London now to Heathrow As of October 28, 2001, all Scandinavian Airlines flights to London from Copenhagen will land at Heathrow, the most central and largest airport in Greater London only 24 km from central London. The change means that SAS will concentrate all flights from Copenhagen at London-Heathrow. The Stavanger-London SAS route will continue to use Stansted Airport. In order to handle the major demand for frequent flights between Copenhagen and London, SAS has already increased capacity between Copenhagen and London-Heathrow, and there are now seven departures per day. SAS will use its new Airbus 321 on the Copenhagen - London-Heathrow route, and this will further increase the seat capacity since each aircraft can carry 184 passengers. "Heathrow is the preferred London airport by our customers, and it is natural that we concentrate all our resources there.
